Kids Activity Corner - Outside / Inside Activity
An outside activity that can be brought inside for a project.
Thanksgiving is coming soon. What are you thankful for? Why not have your kids put together a thanksgiving themed poster that shows what they are most thankful for this year.
Things you need:
Glue stick
Book
Poster board or piece of paper
Markers- lets use fall colors-orange, green, red, and yellow
Creating the thanksgiving themed poster:
1. Enjoy the outdoors by searching your yard for about 10 leaves (however many you want on your poster). Keep in mind that the softer leaves will not break as easily and they will be more flexible to work with.
2. After collecting your leaves, place each leaf in a separate part of your book. Keep leaves in book for about 10 minutes or until flat. The reason for doing this is so that they lay nice and flat on your poster.
3. With your glue stick, start creating your poster. Place the leaves on the poster over the glue areas. Don't forget to save space to write what you are thankful for.
4. Use your markers to write three things that you are thankful for. Be sure to title the Poster Board "Things that I am thankful for".
5. After the glue has had a chance to dry, hang it where you can see it often to remember your blessings: the fridge, a door, or your room would be a great place.
Think creative!*
